CEDTI Welcomes You !

Centre For Electronics Design & Technology of India (CEDTI) was set up as a non-profit Scientific Society in 1994 under Department of Electronics, Govt. of India. Attached to it are 7 units located at Aurangabad, Calicut, Gorakhpur, Imphal, SAS Nagar, Srinagar/Jammu and Tezpur working as independent Societies. CEDT, Bangalore is a constituent of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

OBJECTIVES : CEDTI has been established primarily to train manpower in electronic design & technology by offering a variety of training programmes in diverse aspects of electronics design, product development, production technology, maintenance engineering, information tech., quality control etc. In addition, various services in terms of technology transfer, product development, consultancy services and relevant management programmes are provided to electronic industry.

MANAGEMENT: The Society operates under the overall control and guidance of a Governing Council with Secretary DoE as its Chairman. The members of the Council are eminent scientists, senior Govt. officials and leading industrialists. The day to day management functions of the CEDTI units are guided by the Executive Committee of respective units with Director General, CEDTI as its Chairman. The members of the Executive Committee are drawn from academic institutions, industry, State Govts. and DoE.

MANPOWER: The total staff strength as on March 31, 1996 stood as 271 including the staff members at CEDTI New Delhi Headquarters.
